In this high-impact, extremely important, interactive workshop, we’ll acknowledge our concerns in the current climate of K-12 public education of MLs, then strip away emotional charge and ground every exchange in clear facts, shared values, and strategic frameworks so even the hardest conversations become catalysts for lasting change! By treating courageous dialogue as both activism and a radical act of self-preservation, participants learn to protect their well-being whilst driving equitable policy and practice for multilingual learners. Through targeted sentence stems, fill-in-the-blank power paragraphs, and bold conversational frames, participants learn talk tactics such as:anchor in vision, values & non-negotiables, setting boundaries & practice radical self-care, leveraging emotional intelligence as self-preservation, using courageous conversation protocols to fuel advocacy & well-being, drive incremental change and celebrate self-care milestones!
