From Our Board President

As we begin another exciting year with BEAM, I want to take a moment to celebrate

the important work we do together in advancing bilingual and ESL education.

Each of you plays a vital role in ensuring that our students and families see their

languages and cultures as strengths to be valued and celebrated.

This year, one of our most important goals is to amplify our advocacy. The stronger

our collective voice, the greater our impact will be on shaping policies, expanding

resources, and creating opportunities for our bilingual learners. But to do this,

we must grow. I encourage you to invite your colleagues, friends, and fellow educators to join BEAM. Every new member strengthens our network, broadens our reach, and helps ensure that no voice is left unheard.

Your commitment, passion, and expertise are the driving force behind our association. By working together, supporting one another, and expanding our membership, we can build a future where every bilingual student is given the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you for your dedication and for standing alongside us in this important mission. Let’s continue to educate, collaborate, and advocate —together.

With gratitude,

Esperanza Sosa Hilts
