Esperanza Hilts is dedicated to equitable instruction that produces bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural citizens. She holds a Masters in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University (2016) and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman's University (2011). Esperanza has served as a paraprofessional, bilingual teacher, grant coordinator, and district bilingual/ESL specialist. She received the Very Important Profession of Teaching Award (2015) for her beliefs in equity, celebrating diversity, and advocating that in order to ensure success instruction must be designed to meet the needs of each student.
